Mary has a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University. Soon after receiving her degree, she quickly realized that her passion was to work in a smaller industry where close relationships could be formed. And she was able to achieve this goal by entering the dental field.
Her knowledge of the dental industry can be attributed to her employment with companies like Gendex Midwest, Cottrell Ltd and Dentsply…but her eye was always on securing an opportunity to work for A-dec where she has been employed for the past 18 years.
Mary’s extensive knowledge of handpieces and Infection Control were learned earlier in her career with operatory and sterilization layout along with certification as Ergonomics Consultant acquired during her time with A-dec.
“My main focus has been to increase my knowledge of the dental industry so I that I could get a deeper understanding of the challenges dental staff face. This is where I wanted to contribute.”
Ergonomic Assessment and operatory/sterilization design is where her passion grew.
As a CEAS (Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist) Mary visits offices across WI assisting with ways to decrease the physical pain clinicians suffer from. She has also perfected her ability to help offices with dental product clutter. “I have always been somewhat obsessed with making sure my life is free from clutter. For me, it can get out of hand and cause undue stress…and who wants that?”
In Mary’s free time she loves to be creative by helping friends bring new life to their homes. She and her husband Will are also involved in their church and love spending time with their Jack Russell Terrier “Jamo”.
